Tessellation can be difficult, however by using the SWITCH Tessellation Board this key area of the curriculum can become fun for the whole class and help the children become confident in the following areas: -
Telling and representing time is one of the fundamentals of mathematics that isn’t only used during school but carried into everyday use later in life. The SWITCH clock board helps children at an early grasp the importance of ‘telling the time’ in a fun practical way. -
The Sum Spinner is a great addition to any playground as it allows teaches to assist the children in solving problems practically and in a fun way. -
Children can use the Symmetry Board to experiment using shapes they discover in the outdoor environment, then using the board they can practically show how mirrors can give the illusion of completed shapes. -
The abacus panel allows the children to count visually using the landscape around them. Teachers can use the panel to set tasks for individuals or the class as whole then using the panel to represent their findings.
