Brookland Infant and Nursery School – Barnet, London
Brenda the Headteacher responded to our free playground design email as she was looking to develop her main playground. The challenge she presented us with was a sloped area and she wasn’t sure on how to develop this to make the best use of the space.
Belvue School at Ken Acock – Northolt, West London
The school were looking to add an assault course, roundabout, trampoline and a play cabin to the year 7 site. This site was supposed to be temporary which was why this was not developed however, as this became permanent they wanted to provide a much-needed area for physical development for the children.
Basildon C.E. Primary School in Reading, West Berkshire
The Head Teacher Melissa contacted ESP PLAY as they had an overgrown nature area that needed converting for forest school activities. Due to the time of year and commitments at the school a meeting was booked for the New Year where our consultant was able to view the space. Melissa wasn’t joking when she advised it was overgrown, but we were confident we could transform the space.
Nethergate Academy, Nottingham
This recently completed special educational needs outdoor area at Nethergate Academy has been completely revamped. Fourteen trees were felled, and shrubbery was replanted wherever possible. Fences were taken down and reinstalled to expand the playground area. The flagship tower unit now offers boundless entertainment and play opportunities for the students. Other new play elements include swing sets and in-ground trampolines. The entire area was covered with artificial grass, preserving the asphalt path for foot traffic.
Rakegate Primary School, Wolverhampton
This new climbing frame at Rakegate Primary School is a hit with the children! The equipment the school had was a freestanding balance trail that wasn’t suitable or challenging enough for the children. Adding our Fawcett Playtower to the space has not only made the children happy it also offers the challenge that was missing.
Woodlands Park Nursery School and Children’s Centre, Tottenham, London
The Site Manager contacted ESP PLAY in 2022 following works we had completed for him at his previous school. The much-loved existing climbing frame required replacement. He was hovering between 2 options, a like for like replacement or something different which worked the same muscle groups. We created 2 options for the school but unfortunately the project was put on hold due to finances.
Cloverlea Primary, Altrincham
Stuart, a member of the PTA at Cloverlea Primary School in Altrincham, contacted three companies to gather some ideas and costs for a new clamber stack style climbing equipment. The PTA had been working hard to fund raise to remove and replace the old climbing equipment. The new equipment looks amazing and the children love it!

The Alan Shearer Centre is a highly specialist, respite, residential and social facility for people with complex disabilities and acute sensory impairments. Situated in its own grounds on the outskirts of Newcastle, the Alan Shearer Centre comprises three specialist facilities.
This new playground is the latest addition made to the centre which will enable children and families from the community to access outstanding playground facilities. ESP PLAY worked closely with the centre to create an inclusive playground for children aged from 2 to 18 years old.

De Lacy opened in the summer of 2010. The school replaced Pontefract Willow Park Junior School and Pontefract Chequerfield Infant School and joined Pontefract Academies Trust in 2013.
Furze Down School, Winslow

The nursery wanted to add a piece of climbing equipment into their outdoor area and it had to be suitable for children aged between 2 and 4 years old. They wanted a play tower because they felt it most suited their aim which is to allow the children to learn through free-flowing play.

The playground at Warren Primary School has been transformed into a fantastic little learning oasis. We removed old Wetpour surfacing and replaced it with artificial grass and installed new seating areas. In addition, we included various climbing equipment and den and mark making areas too.
Ivy Road Primary School – Gateshead
A Play Tower that is Fun, Exciting and Challenging for Children aged 3-5 year old. At Ivy Road Primary School, we transformed an unused area of grass at the school into a challenging bespoke play tower. It has been designed to challenge key skills, such as grip, balance, crawling and role-play.
Rainbow Forge Primary School – Sheffield
At Rainbow Forge Primary School, we installed this challenging and exciting FreeFlow trim trail package, with bonded rubber mulch safety surfacing and some additional playground markings to brighten up a bland tarmac playground. We had to meet the needs of both Key Stage 1 and 2 children, which our unique modular design does really well.
