As a company, we’re constantly looking to bring our customers better products and services. And though we don’t always make a song and dance of it, this post will take a closer look at some of the fantastic new products we’ve added to our playground equipment collection and at the improvements we’ve made with our brand-new website. So, let’s take a look at what’s new at ESP Play.
A new and better website
With a growing number of products to offer and more customers visiting, it was time to build a new website that could cater better for everyone’s needs. While we’ve kept the layout and colour schemes similar so that returning visitors still find the site familiar and can find their way around, there are some important changes.
One of the most important differences you’ll experience is the speed at which the new site loads and responds. Now you’ll be able to get to the pages you want instantly, whether you’re on a computer, tablet or phone. And if you’re on a mobile device, the site will be easier to access too. We’ve also provided easier-to-read fonts, more detailed and user-friendly product pages, new menus and search tools, and easier ways to get in touch. We hope you enjoy the experience.
New at ESP Play – Climbing cubes
New additions to our climbing frame products include our Climbing Cubes 1 and 2. Ideal for smaller playgrounds, Climbing Cube 1 is built from tanalised redwood timber with zinc-plated and stainless-steel fixings, and features a pull-up bar, log clamber, advanced tyre pass, trapeze traverse and trapeze net switchable ropework challenges.
Made from the same robust materials, the much bigger Climbing Cube 2 is better suited to medium to large playgrounds and offers a wider range of challenges as well as room for more children to play on. Cube 2’s challenges include a log pass, tyre pass, double-sided traverse wall, crawl net with guide rope, spinning log, drop rope traverse, low-level traverse net and advanced balance challenge.
Both cubes will make excellent additions to school playgrounds, providing children with fun, active and challenging activities for years to come.
Open-ended block set
Designed to complement grassed and artificial grassed areas, our open-ended block set is a range of playground features that can be used by children for a wide variety of activities. Each is made from robust, long-lasting, tanalised timber that’s built for heavy use and is covered with a layer of artificial grass that makes them comfortable to sit on while blending in perfectly with their surroundings.
The set comprises 12 separate items, including a tunnel, balance plank, hexagonal block, small and large triangular and square blocks, a crawl-under / crawl-over block and medium rectangular blocks. These can be arranged in any way you like in your playground, enabling you to create a play zone that suits your pupils’ ages, preferences and needs while offering opportunities for both imaginative and active play.
Two new playboats
Two recent additions to our imaginative playground equipment are the fantastic Liberty and Spirit playboats. The Liberty is approximately 4m in length and 1.7m wide, making it an ideal size for a whole crew of children to up the anchor and set off on voyages of adventure across the seas of creativity. A well-equipped vessel, the Liberty gives school-aged sailors access to on-deck seating, a flagged mast and sail shade, as well as having a bow to lean on, a plank to walk and a wheel to steer.
Another important part of our fleet is the Spirit, a twin-decked ship with a raised quarterdeck which children can get to via steps, an external ramp or climbing holds. The officers’ quarterdeck features two telescopes for seeking treasure islands or pirate ships, as well as a porthole, a flagged mast and the ship’s wheel. The main deck, which is for crew and passengers, offers lots of additional playground seating, besides a walking plank, a chalkboard and a tall bow on which young adventurers can stand and shout ahoy.
Wider-use playground markings
There are ten new playground markings in our catalogue. They include a multicoloured 25-circle grid, a large, 100-square blank grid and a number snake and number ladder. These feature blank circles and squares so that staff can chalk in their own numbers or letters. This gives teachers greater scope for using these markings in outdoor learning activities while providing children with a wider range of playground games.
Conclusion
Our long experience of working with schools across the UK means we’re always up to date when it comes to knowing what staff, parents and pupils want to see installed in their playgrounds. To make sure we cater for these needs, we constantly look for new products or adapt existing ones to keep them fresh. Hopefully, you’ll like the new products we’ve added recently, and you’ll enjoy the experience of finding out about them on our new website.
