The school reached out to ESP Play after the PTA raised funds, believing that playground markings would enhance the playground. Following the preliminary costs we provided and confirmation this fit their £3,500 budget we scheduled a free consultation.
During the consultation, various netball court sizes and potential locations were considered before settling on the most suitable site. Additionally, the staff selected extra markings from our brochure. These included a Mathematical Number Grid, Hopscotch, Trainer Trail, and Activity Trail.
Activity trails can serve as daily mile tracks. Each one is uniquely designed to fit the available space, age range, and specific playground.
When installing markings, it’s essential to steer clear of drains and manhole covers since installation is only possible on tarmac. Bearing this in mind, a full site survey is meticulously conducted and measured.
The graphic designer created a layout of the area using the provided survey and incorporated all the elements requested. This design was subsequently forwarded to the school for approval to ensure it matched their vision.
The staff expressed great satisfaction with the design and were eager to proceed swiftly. Aiming to have the markings installed during their May half-term. Consequently, the school placed the order at the end of April, with the installation completed in May half term.
The installation of playground markings is contingent on weather conditions. They cannot be installed during rain, snow, or icy conditions, which may delay the scheduled installation dates. Fortunately, the weather remained clear, allowing for the swift and efficient installation of the playground markings right before the children’s return.
On completion, we spoke to the school to ensure they were happy. They expressed delight with the new markings, stating, “The kids adore them, and the installation team was highly efficient.” Furthermore, the school would be more than happy to work with us again and would recommend ESP PLAY to other schools.
