Everyone had fun last week as Flixton School for Girls and ESP attempted to break a world record. The largest game of musical statues involved 617 children from the local area of Flixton, with the current record held by GAME Stores Group at an insignificant 500.
ESP, the organisers of the event did so to help raise money for charity (Diabetes UK) and also raise awareness around childhood obesity. Andrew Wood the Managing Director said "‘It is really exciting to be holding our world record attempt at our partner school Flixton, the girls here have been fantastic and we couldn’t have even dreamt of doing this without there support."
The attempt is still awaiting official adjudication as to whether they have broken it or not but with the support and hard work put in by all its fingers crossed.
“This is a fantastic event that ESP and Flixton Girls School have organised. It’s fun with a purpose – to raise money for charity and awareness of childhood obesity. I’m sure everyone will have a great time and best of luck with the world record!”
