ESP Develop Play Spaces at Garforth Green Lane Academy

Tammy Prince, Headteacher of Garforth Green Lane Primary Academy in Leeds, has chosen ESP to come and develop play spaces around her school.

The outdoor provision for the Early Years area has seen stations of climbing equipment installed with a view to providing more physical challenges and to further develop the children’s gross motor skills.  The school also decided to add some fence mounted music panels including the Bongos music panel and Chimes music panel to inspire some creativity and sensory experiences.  This playground equipment is permanently installed so children can explore and climb at their leisure.

The Reception playground has had one addition to complement the existing playground equipment being a Log Pass from the ESP trim trail range.

The key stage two playground has had a brand new Alphabet Traversing Wall installed and some very large bright target boards onto existing wall spaces.  The nature area has had the addition of a Story Telling Chair to what was already a fantastic outdoor classroom space within a forest environment.  Some natural wooden benches were already in place in a circular format and it was agreed that the area would be finished off and look perfect with the addition of an ESP story telling chair.

The installation of this exciting playground project is taking place over the February half term and will be completed in time for when the children return to school.
