About Us

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our company ESP (Education and Special Projects Limited). We specialise in the design, installation and support of the playground as a context to deliver improvements across the whole school.

We deliver our concepts in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and SEN  schools throughout the UK. The heart of our strategy is born from a Movement / Multi-skills pathway through the use of specifically designed playground markings and a structured nationally accredited CPD training programme to aid the development of all young people. All of our products and services have been designed as developmentally appropriate interventions and focus very closely on the correct ages and stages of a child's development.

We work in partnership with School Sport Partnerships, Primary Care Trusts, Local Authorities, Playing for Success, Extended Services, Professional Sports Clubs and Universities, in delivering our strategy of 'Shaping A Community of Practice Through PE and Sport'. Our concept has been independently researched by a wealth of Universities and demonstrates a HUGE positive impact on the following national strategies:

  • Five Hour Offer
  • PESSYP
  • Health
  • Every Child Matters

We work in partnership with schools and actively deliver real improvements in the following areas of Self Evaluation:

  • Levels of Physical Activity for Every Child
  • Inclusion
  • National Curriculum
  • Cohesive Learning
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Leadership
  • Confidence of Individuals... And much more

Our CPD department, headed by Dr David Morley, has a wide range of education expertise and is responsible for supporting our products and services. This ensures that every school working in partnership with ESP delivers sustainable change that provides a positive impact across the whole school.  We have relationships with the university network who independently measure the impact ESP are having in schools and on young people.

All of our training programmes are nationally accredited and approved by the Professional Development Board of the Association for Physical Education (afPE).

Please enjoy exploring our website and we look forward to working in partnership with you in the future.

Kindest and warmest regards,

Andrew Wood
Managing Director
