Welcome to Education and Special Projects Ltd (ESP). We specialise in the design, installation, support and supply of school playground equipment and thermoplastic markings in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and SEN schools throughout the UK.

We design, install, support and supply school playground equipment and markings through a Multi-skill pathway to transform any playground or outdoor resource.

Our school playground equipment covers a variety of areas and requirements from shading; seating and shelters to traversing walls, wallboards and timber play huts.

Our graphic design team are continuously designing school playground equipment for children and schools dealing with special needs.

All our playground equipment is specifically designed using our 9 key design principles, providing the best chance for children of all ages to gain a holistic experience from interacting with our educationally driven playground equipment.  A suite of CPD training awards for staff and children supports all of our playground equipment.

The concept of the company originated from academic research that suggests that the playground and its equipment or markings can deliver a range of improvements to help educate and promote high quality physical activity, inclusion and deliver against many national agenda’s;

I am very proud to say that we have been very successful in delivering our Multi-skill pathway / Movement concept through the use of specifically designed playground markings. This has been researched by Leeds Metropolitan University, how a specific playground design can improve the movement competencies of children and increase daily participation in high quality physical activities. Our Multi-skills pathway has created a continuum and smooth transition from Primary through to Secondary Schools.

We recognise the potential to deliver whole school improvements by establishing a purposeful relationship between the inside and the outside classroom. After working as true educational partners with thousands of schools from all over the UK, ESP delivers the most up to date advice on playground design as well as a high quality installation service.

With our nationally recognised education team headed by Dr David Morley, ESP support all of our playground equipment and markings with a high quality range of CPD training modules, all of which have been accredited by the Professional Development Board of AfPE.
